I finished this needlepoint project August 1996 for Brad. It took 26 days to stitch. I used Candace Bahouth's Standing Lion Cushion design from her "Flowers, Birds, and Unicorns: Medieval Needlepoint" book. I first stitch painted the design onto 12 count mono canvas. That took two days. A year later, I finally stitched it up with Appleton's Tapestry wool in basketweave. It was such a fun and quick project to do. I think I'll be doing CB's Playing Cards Cushion, too. The Lion is now finished into a cushion. It is 15 1/2" x 12".
